TruGrid Connector for Windows is Summit’s new tool for server access. It features optional Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and allows access via both an application and a web portal, providing enhanced security and easier access anytime, anywhere.

Requirements:
- Trugrid credentials (Found in your Summit Welcome email)
- Windows 10/11
- An Android or Apple Smart phone capable of SMS and/or downloading apps for their applicable app stores.
Installing Trugrid Windows Connector:
- download the TruGrid Windows Connector from the following link: https://www.trugrid.com/downloads/winconnector.
- Once the download is finished, Open your downloads folder and run "TruGrid_Windows_Connector_Installer" as administrator
- Or install directly from within the browser
- Click Install on the following popup window:
- Click Install.
Logging into the Trugrid Windows Connector

- Open Trugrid Windows connector on your Windows Device

Enter your username and click "continue"
- Please consult Your Summit welcome email for your Trugrid username and password
- Enter your password

Click "Setup multifactor authentication"
- The choice to select "remember me" will be available after the 1st login

Multi-Factor Authentication can be used via the Trugrid Authenticator, SMS, Email, or another preferred authenticator app.
- The Trugrid Authentication app is recommended, for better security, and features "Push to authenticate" which can make signing in very quick!

Text Message or Email are also an option.
- If you do not see email, please open a support ticket and notify our support staff.
- If choosing "Text Message" or "email", skip the "Trugrid Authenticator" sections ahead

Installing the Trugrid Authenticator App
- From your smartphone, install the TruGrid Authenticator application from the App Store (iOS or Android).
Setting up Trugrid Authenticator App
- Open the TruGrid Authenticator mobile app.

Select the + sign on the top right. Use your smartphone to scan the TruGrid QR code displayed on your computer browser.
- Accept any prompt from your phone to allow TruGrid to use your camera.

From the TruGrid Authenticator application on your Smart Phone, select Allow.
- If this does not happen, please manually type the six-digit code and click NEXT on your computer.

Enter your mobile phone number and activate MFA.
- Note: You can always reset your MFA in the future
- You should now see your Trugrid server names.
Connecting to your server
- Hover your mouse over the desired server and click Connect to the right of the listed server you want to access.
- Read the End-User License Agreement for the TruGrid Connector software and click I Agree to proceed with the connection to your desktop.
- Windows Defender Firewall: Be sure both "network boxes" are checked, then click Allow access.
- For the RDP prompt, check the box for Don't ask me again… and then click Connect to finalize the connection to your desktop.
- A desktop should load, indicating you've logged into your server!
*Additional Option Steps
You can adjust settings for better display results, folder or printer redirection, and more when logging into your server.
- To configure Settings, click the drop-down menu on the top right corner of the TruGrid Windows Connector, then click Settings from the drop-down menu.
- Configure your preferred Settings and click Save when done.
