TruGrid Connector for Mac is Summit’s new tool for server access. It features optional Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and allows access via both an application and a web portal, providing enhanced security and easier access anytime, anywhere.

Requirements:
- Trugrid credentials (Found in your Summit Welcome email)
- TruGrid strongly recommends using Mac OS X version 11.5 or newer OS.
- An Android or Apple Smart phone capable of SMS and/or downloading apps for their applicable app stores.
Install Microsoft Remote Desktop
Microsoft remote desktop is needed as prerequisite for Trugrid.
- Open the Apple App Store
- Search Microsoft Remote Desktop

If not already installed, proceed with the install
- After installation is complete, close the app store and keep remote desktop open. Nothing further is needed from remote desktop, except that it remains open so Trugrid can utilize it to connect.
Install Trugrid Mac Connector
- Click on the following hyper link for the direct download of the: TruGrid Mac Desktop Connector
- Either navigate to your downloads, or install the Trugrid Connector right from inside your browser
- Proceed through the installation prompts until the Trugrid Mac Connector is installed
Logging into the Trugrid Mac Connector
- Open Trugrid Mac connector on your Mac Device

Enter your username and click Continue
- Please consult your Summit Welcome Email for your Trugrid Username and Password
- Enter your password

Click Set Up Multi-Factor Authentication
Choose your MFA authentication Method

Multi-Factor Authentication can be used via the Trugrid Authenticator, SMS, Email, or another preferred authenticator app.
- The Trugrid Authentication app is recommended, for better security, and features "Push to authenticate" which can make signing in very quick!

Text Message or Email are also an option.
- If you do not see email, please open a support ticket and notify our support staff.

If choosing "Text Message" or "email", skip the "Installing the MFA App section.

Installing the MFA App
- From your smartphone, install the TruGrid Authenticator application from the App Store (iOS or Android).
Login with the Trugrid Authenticator App
- Open the TruGrid Authenticator mobile app.

Select the + sign on the top right. Use your smartphone to scan the TruGrid QR code displayed on your computer browser.
- Accept any prompt from your phone to allow TruGrid to use your camera.
- From the TruGrid Authenticator application on your Smart Phone, select Allow.

Enter your mobile phone number and activate MFA.
- Note: You can always reset your MFA in the future

You should now see a server name.
Connecting to your server
- Hover your mouse over the desired server and click Connect to the right of the listed server you want to access.
- Accept the End User Agreement (if the first time launching a desktop)

Your remote desktop should open, and you're in!
- NOTE: If your desktop does not load, it may be because the Microsoft RDP application is awaiting your input. Drag the TruGrid Mac Connector aside and respond to the Microsoft RDP prompt. Click the desktop again if necessary. Your remote desktop should open
