Process Description:
Using the Summit Client Utility tools for automating the process of identifying logged in users
Requirements to Complete this Process:
- Access to the server the user(s) is logged into
- (OPTIONAL) Admin access to server
Steps and Screenshots:
- Launch the Summit Client Utility from your Desktop or Start Menu (admin not required)
- Under the User Tools tab select See Who’s Logged In
- A new window with the results will pop-up. This window shows all the necessary information about a user’s session
- Username: The name of the user logged into the server.
- Session Name: Displays the connection type. (Should always start with rdp)
- ID: The Session ID of the logged in user.
- State: Active or Disconnected.
- Idle Time: The duration of time no input has been detected into the remote session.
- Logon Time: The server time when the session was first connected. (‘.’ Means no idle time)
