Locating QuickBooks License Information

If unable to launch QuickBooks:

1. Open File Explorer (Folder icon on Task Bar).
2. Navigate to C:\ProgramData\Common Files\Intuit\QuickBooks*year*
   • Note: If ProgramData is not visible click the View tab at the top of the window then check off Hidden Items 
3. Right-click on the qbregistration.dat file.
4. Click on Open with, then select Notepad or any other text editor.
5. Search for the license key in the text file.

If QuickBooks will open:

1. Open the QuickBooks application
2. Click Help
3. Click About QuickBooks *version and year*
4. A green circle will open that displays License Number, Product Number, and User Licenses
