How do I associate .pit file on Windows?
*Note: Make sure vWorkspace is installed. If not, please follow this guide: Windows Getting Started Setup Guide - Installing vWorkspaceProblem Description:
Unable to open .pit file after installing vWorkspace.Answer
Solution 1:
1. Open Control Panel and select to View by Category2. Click Programs then Default Programs
3. Click Make a file type always open in a specific program
4. Wait for the list to generate then scroll to .pit
5. Click to highlight it and then click Change Program in upper right corner
6. Choose More apps at the bottom
7. Scroll to the bottom and choose to Look for another app on this PC
8. Click This PC then click C: drive
9. Click Program files x86
10. Click quest software
11. Click vWorkspace client
12. Click pntsc
13. Close out of the window and try logging in again
Solution 2:
1. Open the Downloads folder2. Find the .pit file type
3. Right-click on the .pit file
4. Select Open With, check off Always use this app to open .pit files, then click on More Apps
5. Scroll down and click on Look for Another App on this PC
6. It will open a File Explorer Window
8. Click This PC and then click C: drive
9. Click Program files x86
10. Click quest software
11. Click vWorkspace client
12. Click pntsc
13. Close out of the window and try logging in again
