How to associate .pit file for MAC

Prerequisite: Make sure vWorkspace connector is installed. 
 

Solution 1: 

1. Right-click the .pit file within your downloads folder inside of Finder. 

2. Click Get Info 

3. Click Open With 

4. Click the dropdown and select Other 

5. Change Applications to Macintosh HD 

6. Go to Library 

7. Go to Application Support Folder 

8. Go to Quest Software 

9. Click on the vWorkspace App (blue puzzle piece icon) 

10. Check off Always open with option below Recommended Settings 

11. Click Ok 

12. On the Get Info Window choose Change All 

13. Go to the website https://vwlogin2.summithosting.com/Desktop to login 

14. Click Open 

Solution 2: 

1. Right-click the .pit file on your downloads folder from Finder. 

2. Click Get Info 

3. Click Open With 

4. Click the dropdown and select Other 

5. Go to Applications 

6. Click on the vWorkspace App (blue puzzle piece icon) 

7. Check off the Always open with option below Recommended Settings 

8. Click Ok 

9. On the Get Info Window choose Change All 

10. Go to https://vwlogin2.summithosting.com/Desktop website to login 

11. Click Open
